SAINTS ROW 2 XBOX ONE PS4

SAINTS ROW 2 XBOX ONE FULL
Such acclaim meant multiple re-releases in addition to its original release: the Full Package bundle with the DLC, the PS4 and Xbox One remasters, the Switch port, and then the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S remasters. This third entry is where the series fully embraced its lunacy with dildo bats, auto-tuned pimps, jacking into the matrix, and more wacky antics. The sequel, Saints Row 2, came out in 2008 and retained some of that serious DNA, but also began to lean into its goofy side a little more.īoth were relatively well-respected games in their time, but the series didn’t take off until Saints Row: The Third in 2011. The first Saints Row released in 2006 and was a fairly straightforward open-world crime game that continually drew comparisons to Grand Theft Auto. The publisher simply replied that putting those games out again is not in the cards and moved on from the topic. The more grounded style of SR2 meant the over the top stuff in SR2 was that much funnier thanks to the contrast.Deep Silver tweeted this news to someone on its Twitter account who was demanding a remaster of those first two open-world games. SR3 was also the start of the SR games being over the top all the time. Or the bodyguard missions where you’d protect the celebrity by throwing obsessed fans into the helicopter blades or off the top of the building. It was missing some of the funnier side missions from SR2 as well, like driving a sewerage truck to spray sewage all over buildings to reduce their value for a real estate developer. It was like they just took the side missions from SR2 and made them the main missions and didn’t include any of the main missions, making the game much smaller. Part three wasn’t bad, but the story was utterly incoherent, half the missions were locked behind DLC and it was much lighter on content compared to SR2. The second really perfected the formula, fixing the bugs and performance issues of the first while adding a whole slew of great new features. The first was hilariously buggy but pretty good fun anyway. Saints Row 2 features unparalleled character creation and customization a massive open world to explore by land, air or sea and online co-op play that enables you and a friend play through the entire story of Saints Row 2.Įasily the second game.
